Camping the Sharing Economy Way with Parkbus and The Sharing Depot

No car? No camping gear? No problem! With Parkbus and The Sharing Depot, your camping dreams can come true!

This past Victoria Day long weekend, I gathered with other adventure seekers at Bloor and Dufferin to board the Parkbus bound for Algonquin Park.

Perfect for those without wheels or folks who want to sit back and have someone else drive, Parkbus offers express bus service from different pickup locations in Toronto to multiple destinations where you can escape the city and be one with nature—even if it’s just for the day!

My Algonquin adventure included canoeing three lakes, and one portage to our final destination, Tepee Lake. Being my first canoe camping trip I needed some gear, and thankfully The Sharing Depot had just what I needed, including binoculars and a swinging hammock.

Apart of the Toronto Tool Libray, The Sharing Depot is a library of things, stocked with board games, camping gear, kids’ toys and party supplies including a chocolate fountain.

With camping season in full swing, I’m pretty excited to go on some more Parkbus adventures with by Sharing Depot gear in tow.

Check out the pics below from my Victoria Day long weekend trip, and stay tuned for my first solo camping trip in the Glen Rouge Valley.
